Were you shopping in Brighton city centre, specifically on North St. this morning? If so, Sussex Police may need your help regarding a robbery that has recently occurred.
At 11.15am this morning (Monday 22nd October), an adult male walked into Thomson (TUI) holiday store in North St. and demanded cash. The suspect did manage to leave with a handful of money, but nobody was hurt. It is unclear whether he was carrying any weapons.
Travel agent TUI targeted for daylight robbery
The man is described as being around the age of 55, white, slim build with brown hair. He is about 5’8″ and was not wearing anything to conceal his face.
It has not yet been released how much money was taken from the travel agent.
Detective Inspector Catherine O’Connor said: “This brazen man walked into the travel agent on a very busy street in the centre of Brighton, did you see anything? Although he hadn’t covered his face, did you see a man leaving the area in a hurry at 11.20am?”
No CCTV footage or photographs have yet been released, as Sussex Police seek any information who may have been at the scene first.
