With Brighton’s biggest pride event fast approaching, we’ve looked into the very best pride occasions taking place over the weekend.
Of course the main events take place in Preston Park, including music, rides and more, as well as Kemp Town’s village street party. But if you’re looking for something a little different here’s what Brighton has to offer…
Marly Brighton Pride Street Party
The Marlborough Pub & Theatre, known for its support of the LGBTQ+ community, will be hosting its very own street party on Saturday 5th August. Including a cocktail of entertainment, vegan barbecue food, DJ sets and of course, booze, this is a great way to spend your alternative pride weekend.
Pride Saturday @ Club Revenge
Brighton’s favourite LGBTQ+ club, Revenge, will be playing host to Saturday night celebrations over pride weekend. Running from 8pm until the early hours of 6am, this is a great way to continue the festivities of pride right through the night. With music to cater for everyone, ranging from pop to punk to drum & bass, there’s something for everyone here.
Pride Percussion Jam
Another Saturday event, there will be a meet up hosting an informal gathering for anyone looking to enjoy some percussion beats. Whether you just want to listen, or if you have a special instrumental talent yourself, everyone is welcome to come and take part.
Horse Meat Disco @ Patterns
Hosting another night of vibrancy and good vibes, Patterns will be playing host to iconic collective Horse Meat Disco. Expect a night full of disco, disco house, punk funk and other oddities to take you all the way through to the wee little hours.
