After six weeks of construction, the popular city pub, The Joker, located on Preston Road in Brighton, proudly unveiled its newly opened roof terrace last week. The revamped space can accommodate up to 50 patrons and boasts an extended flat roof equipped with fencing and a retractable canopy.
Two years ago, Nathan Moseby’s company, El Comodin, acquired the pub, previously known as Circus Circus. Moseby recognized the growing demand for outdoor areas at pubs and restaurants, especially due to the pandemic.
Expressing his delight, Moseby stated, “We are thrilled to finally open the terrace and extend a warm welcome to our local residents and loyal customers. It has been amazing to hear the positive feedback and experiences shared by our patrons regarding the terrace. As the plants continue to flourish, we anticipate the space to be further enhanced. With many more sunny days and evenings ahead, we eagerly anticipate hosting a larger audience who can relish in this space.”
Additionally, the roof terrace features a living wall where Moseby cultivates various herbs like lavender and mint, intended for use in their signature cocktails.
