The Coral Regency tournament is an event that runs through July, starting with the heats, before semi-finals and final at the end of July.
Run on sand for a distance of 515 metres, the winner can receive up to £10,000 in prize money. Started in 1948, it was originally for British Bred Greyhounds, though this was changed to all from 1966.
The track record date way back to 1949 for this race, where Kings Signature, trained by R.G. MacKay finished in 29.49 seconds.
Sussex Cup
First run in 1972, the Sussex Cup has always been run here at the Coral Brighton and Hove Stadium.
It is the showpiece event, taking place in August each year and attracts the best greyhounds and trainers to the category one event.Last year, trainer Mark Wallis won his first Sussex Cup with his greyhound Drumcrow Brent.
The track record was set in 2007 by Shelbourne Poopa with a time of 29.30, trained by Sam Poots.
Brighton Belle
The Brighton Belle is an annual event where the winner will take home around £5000.
Started in 1975, the event has become a key part of the category two race calendar.
The track record for this race was set back in 1979, still unbeaten today. The greyhound was Masslock Lady and was trained by George Curtis of Brighton. Masslock Lady was the favourite for the race and justified the title spectacularly.
Coral Greyhound Olympics
The Greyhound Olympics is an annual event that takes place in December a few days before Christmas and is renowned for the elite level of greyhounds in its main event.
It was first held in 1947 in Wandsworth, London until 1965 over 600 yards until the stadium was closed. It moved to Charlton between 1966 and 1971 before being reopened in Brighton in 1979.
Brian Clemenson has been one of the most successful trainers in recent times at the Greyhound Olympics, winning six consecutive titles in 2001 to 2006.
