The World Cup 2018 is finally upon us with the first match, where hosts Russia will meet Saudi Arabia, kicking off the action next week. England’s first match will take place on the 18th June, when they face the Tunisian side.

Now we all know that Football is a sport best viewed in company – so where’s the best place in Brighton to catch every second of the action? We’ve compiled a list of the best spots to watch Harry Kane lead the English side to victory (maybe…)

Open Air Screening at The Beach

It’s not a summer in Brighton unless every major event is shown on an enormous screen on the beach. Luna Beach Cinema are showing every FIFA World Cup game, so grab a pint, grab a deckchair and flock down to the pebbles to witness every missed England goal on the big screen. Perfect.

See website for tickets, Madeira Drive, BN2 1EN.

Concorde 2

One of Brighton’s favourite music venues, Concorde 2, will be opening their doors to welcome football fans looking for an alternative viewing venue, on what they are claiming as Brighton’s biggest TV screen. Pre-booking tickets is essential, but this includes music beforehand, entry to a raffle, and the chance to view all England games on one of their 4 screens, including outdoor viewing. As with every major event in Brighton, fancy dress is encouraged, with prizes for best costume.

See website for tickets, Madeira Drive, BN2 1EN.

Enjoy the success of any team that isn’t England on one of the Black Lion’s five screens

The Black Lion

The Black Lion pub is also going all out in honour of our famously average side heading to Russia. They’ll be showing every fixture over five screens, including 2 in their cosy outside area. What’s more is, they’ve also erected an outside bar and will be whacking on the BBQ in true British summer time style.

See their website for all shown fixtures and more info, 14 Black Lion Street, BN1 1ND.

Walkabout

Love it or hate it, it’s not a sporting tournament without a trip to Walkabout is it? Cheap pints and a lively atmosphere guarantee to make it a favoured destination for football fans throughout the World Cup.
