Theatre Royal Brighton’s new What’s On Guide is out now! The season goes on general sale on 28 July 2021.

 

Theatre Royal Brighton have a fantastic season packed with top quality entertainment and a fabulous choice of shows from the West End, which promise to be the perfect opportunity for escapism and fun this autumn.

 

Fans of musical theatre will be spoilt for choice this season as Theatre Royal Brighton welcome back Dirty DancingHairspray and Rocky Horror Show, plus Heathers The Musical, the black comedy rock musical based on the 1988 film will visit Brighton for the first time.

 

West End smash hit Everybody’s Talking About Jamie will also visit Brighton this Christmas.  The show stars Layton Williams and RuPaul’s Drag Race Season 6 winner Bianca Del Rio/Roy Haylock as Loco Chanelle/Hugo. This funny, fabulous and feel good show, is a musical sensation for all the family.

 

For anybody looking to be moved to the edge of their seats there will be a host of shows that will fright and delight in equal measure; including The Classic Thriller Theatre Company’s The Cat and the Canary, critically acclaimed The Woman in Black and Peter James’ Looking Good Dead.

Families can enjoy the return of the hugely popular Gangsta Granny and The Play That Goes Wrong, as well as a new instalment from Mischief TheatreGroan Ups; a brand new comedy about growing up for an audience of all ages.

THE WOMAN IN BLACK

Matthew Bourne’s new World Premiere for New Adventures explores the under belly of 1930s London life where ordinary people emerge from cheap boarding houses nightly to pour out their passions, hopes and dreams in the pubs and bars of fog bound Soho and Fitzrovia. Step inside The Midnight Bell, a tavern where one particular lonely hearts club gather to play out their lovelorn affairs of the heart.

THE DRESSER

LOOKING GOOD DEAD

THE CAT AND THE CANARY

Britt Ekland stars in a new adaptation of the murderous mystery from The Classic Theatre Company, which inspired three classic movies starring the likes of Bob Hope, Honor Blackman and Olivia Hussey. Twenty years after the death of Mr. West, his descendants gather at a remote mansion to learn who will inherit his vast wealth and the hidden family jewels. When the heir is revealed, the heritage hunters turn into prey and a chain of macabre events is set in motion; walls crack open, shadows loom and dark secrets are revealed.
