For this week’s edition of Humans of Brighton, we chatted to Emily Diamond, a sculptor studying in Brighton, about what she thinks of the city and whether or not it’s her forever place.
Hi Emily! What do you do?
I’m a student at the University of Brighton, doing Sculpture. I’m originally from Bedford, right in the countryside!
How are you finding living in Brighton?
Lovely! I just love it here, it’s great.
What’s your favourite thing about the city?
The people, the vibe, the beach… All of it! There’s always so much going on.
Is there anything you don’t like about Brighton?
Nope. There’s nothing I’d want to change, honestly.
So could anything tempt you to move away now you’re here?
In all honesty, I’ll have to move for work. I just don’t think there are as many opportunities for a sculptor here, so I’ll most likely move to London when I finish my degree.
