Once again Brighton is full of exciting music line ups this week. From the well known to the up and coming, we’ve listed our top choices for this weeks gigs!
Thursday 28th July: The Mercury Music Prize nominated band Wild Beasts are currently touring and will be making their debut in Brighton this Thursday. They will be playing at The Old Market alongside ‘special guests’.
Friday 29th July: A starman will be gracing the stage this Friday at The Concorde 2. Absolute Bowie the band performs rock covers in tribute to the legendary artist, David Bowie. The Stanton Warriors, Plump DJs & Krafty Kuts will also be performing at The Concorde 2 later in the evening.
Saturday 30th July: Roy Ayers & The Ubiquity Band will be at The Concorde 2 bringing an American funk, soul and jazz vibe to Brighton. Another gig happening on Saturday is Summer Soul and South Coast Soul. The contemporary soul group will be making an appearance at The Brunswick Pub in Hove. Phil Hartnoll & Banco De Gaia will also be taking the stage on Saturday at The Concorde 2 after Roy Ayers. Playing his DJ set, Phil Hartnoll will be bringing Brighton those festival vibes.
Sunday 31st July: Rise and shine, the best way to spend your morning at The Brighton Dome with Herbie flowersa jazz breakfast. The jazz performers will have special guests and refreshments. Shaking your Sunday evening up, Radioactivity and Molar will be taking to the stage at The Green Door Store in Brighton. The garage punk rock bands will both be taking to the stage in style.
Monday 1st August: Start off your week with funky grooves from Acid Jazz and Jam Funk, performing The Latest Music Bar in Brighton. Their music is improvised around a riff or someone plays a key and everyone brings their own sound into the mix. Everyone is welcome to join in on the fun.
