Friday 4th January – Hatha Yoga Drop-in
Free Hatha Yoga drop-in sessions will be starting this Friday in the morning. This style includes the practice of asanas (yoga postures) and pranayama (breathing exercises), which encourage peace to the mind and body, preparing yourself for deeper spiritual practices like meditation. Yoga mats are kindly provided by Brighton Yoga Foundation and YogaMatters, but feel free to bring your own if you have one.

Saturday 5th January – Beginners Free Swing Dance Class
Why not jump start your new year with a free beginners class to Swing dancing? The class is hosted by the Brighton Lindyhoppers at the Open Market, giving you the chance to meet some new friendly people and learn some new moves! This class is suitable for all who are looking to learn a new dance.

Saturday 5th January – Iron Tyger
Watch Iron Tyger this Saturday as they return to their hometown to bring some of the best hits of the 80s. Expect to hear songs from artists including ACDC, Queen, Bon Jovi, Van Halen, Aerosmith, Guns ‘n’ Roses and many more. Join the band at the Prince Albert to bring in the new year with instantly recognisable songs.

Sunday 6th January – Christmas Tree Recycling
Traditionally, 6 January is the last day many people keep decorations up when it reaches the end of the Christmas season. Brighton and Hove Soiree Rotary Club are inviting you to recycle your Christmas trees with them for just a £3 donation. All money raised will go towards a good cause for Rotary charities.

Sunday 6th January – Hove Lawns Big Tidy Up
Brighton & Hove City Council Ranger Service have organised a big tidy up on Hove Lawns this Sunday morning. All tools and equipment will be provided, but the Ranger Service ask you to please wear suitable clothing. The meeting point is by the Peace Statue – dogs and children are welcome.
