WHAT’S ON IN DECEMBER?

Oh deer, Christmas is here! And at Komedia, we’re ready to sleigh the festive season with you.

COMEDY

Looking for festive chuckles? December kicks off with John-Luke Roberts: Geoffrey Chaucer’s Mediaeval Christmas Festivitye (1 Dec), then Boast in Show: Does Christmas (11 Dec), Comedy at Christmas: The Best of Edinburgh Fringe with a truly star-studded line-up (14 Dec), our cover star Adam Riches with Dungeons n’ Bastards ‘The 12 Beans of Christmas’ (17 Dec) and An Evening with (the late) Anna Mann: Christmas Party! (16 Dec). We also have a few spots left for the mega popular Komedia Christmas Party nights (4-20 Dec) where you can enjoy a delicious three-course meal, top comedy, and dancing until late!

MUSIC

December also sees the return of festive favourites James B Partridge Presents: The Big Christmas Assembly (1 Dec) and the Suspiciously Elvis Christmas Special, where you can worship at the altar of the King of Rock ‘n’ Roll (10 Dec). Other live music highlights include The Witchcraft and Vagrancy Act Present: A Folk Horror Christmas (18 Dec), the UK’s ultimate tribute to Lainey Wilson – The Lainey Wilson Experience (21 Dec), Funk The Borders (22 Dec) and Rhiannon – The Fleetwood Mac Show (27 Dec).

Get down at doors for all of our standing live music shows to ‘support the supports’ and enjoy 20% off all drinks for the first hour.

CLUB NIGHTS

Grab your “jingle ladies” for a pre-Christmas boogie at Lovers II Friends – 90s/00s Day Party (20 Dec) or Spellbound Alternative 80s Night’s Christmas Party (20 Dec) and prance like nobody’s watching at Boogie Wonderland – 70s Disco NYE party! (31 Dec) or Spellbound’s New Year’s Eve Party (31 Dec).

KIDS SHOWS

For families, we’ve got crafting fun at Sticky! (1, 8 & 15 Dec), enjoy a children’s story, original songs, classic nursery rhymes, games, and puppets at Story Magic (5, 12 & 19 Dec), Comedy Club 4 Kids (6 Dec), theatrical treat Franky is back (7 Dec) and our Christmas kid’s show this year is the ‘Magical and beautiful’ (The Guardian) Flyaway Katie from Long Nose Puppets (20 – 24 Dec). Last but not least we have our K.W.A: Kidz with Attitude – New Year’s Eve Special (31 Dec) featuring DJs, games, prizes, face painting and New Year’s Eve “Midnight” countdown.

OTHER

Other events not to miss include the return of Deviants Market (14 Dec), Drunk Women Solving Crime (15 Dec), Revudeville: Festive Fantasy (21 Dec) and two Bogan Bingo Xmas Specials (3 & 16 Dec).
