Seabammed Brighton and Hove Triathlon – Following the events successful launch last year, Brighton’s very own triathlon returns this weekend for it’s much anticipated sequel. The event will take to the sea this year for the first time with athletes braving the waves alongside a scenic cycle along the seafront and a run along the beach lined promenade. The event is being co-ordinated by a talented team with previous experience organising events for the Olympics and the Commonwealth Games so it is sure to be a smooth and enjoyable experience for athletes and spectators alike. Whether you’re gearing up to take part in the race, or to cheer on athletes from the sidelines, this weekend’s event promises to be full of excitement and drama fit for the whole family. Registration for the event is now closed but that doesn’t mean you have to miss out on the action . A selection of mini races for children from 3-8 years old are taking place tomorrow morning (Saturday 16th) with the official triathlon taking place on Sunday morning with staggered starts from 8.00 to 12.30. Be sure to head down to Hove lawns to see the start and to cheer on the athletes!
