Great Gatsby’s Silent Disco @One Church, Friday 29 March
Dress up, put your headphones on and let yourself be transported straight back to the 1920s. There will be three music channels playing classic swing & jazz, electro swing and a wildcard channel. There will also be dance flashmobs throughout the night, giving you the chance to learn some charleston dances. A prize will be awarded for the best customised headset.
Tango Terra – The Quintet – live tango music and dance @Brighton Unitarian church, Friday 29 March
For the first time in Brighton, the Tango Terra Quintet will perform music to accompany an evening of Argentine Tango. People will also be able to hear the best DJ tango music. The concert is open to all lovers of music and to anyone wishing to see a dance performance by professional tango dancers.
Traditional Afternoon Tea Cook & Dine @Brighton Cookery School, Saturday 30 March
With mother’s day just around the corner, why not treat her to a professional cooking class and afternoon tea? Starting at 10AM, the four-hour session will provide you with all the tools and knowledge to bake the perfect scones and biscuits. Prosecco and juices will also be served with your afternoon tea.
An Evening with Paul Johnson @Ropetackle Arts Centre, Saturday 30 March
Being held one day after the official Brexit day, this talk could not be more relevant. Paul Johnson is coming back to his native Shoreham-by-Sea to talk all things finances. He is known on radio and television for being the ‘go-to man’ when it comes to this topic: he is in fact the director of the highly respected Institute for Fiscal Studies (IFS), which has provided extensive analysis and warnings of the likely Brexit impacts on the UK’s economy.

Stone Lithography Weekend Course @New England House, Saturday 30 and Sunday 31 March
Lithography is a form of printmaking involving drawing straight onto a prepared slab of limestone surface. Brighton is a great place for learning this art: it is the home of a well known printmaking community, and Brighton University is one of the few in the country to offer a course in the subject. The course will be run by Scarlett Tierney and is open to both complete beginners and more experienced people. The price includes all the equipment, and on the day participants will draw, process and print lithographs from stone using a 130 years old direct stone press.
Vintage Brighton @Brighton Dome Cafe Bar, Sunday 31 March
Calling all vintage lovers! Up to 30 hand picked vintage and vintage inspired traders will be showcasing all kinds of vintage items, including jewellery, clothing and homeware. Two animal charities will also join the traders to sell their donated vintage items. On the day you can also expect live music, a tea party and hair salon.
