Constructed Geographies exhibition @ ONCA, Friday 8th February

Constructed Geographies is a visual arts exhibition featuring seven local artists who have created new work in response to Sussex’s diverse heritage and population. Whilst primarily including paintings, photography, glass-work, textiles and installations in response to this theme, the exhibition will also include; artist talks, workshops and interventions, as well as film, music, food and spoken word. Artists: Maria Amidu, Akila Richards, Amanda Jobson, Rikki Tarascas, Judith Ricketts, Josef Cabey and Amy Zamarripa Solis.

Olga Koch @ Komedia – Saturday 9th February

As part of her UK tour ‘Fight’, Edinborough Comedy Best Newcomer nominee Olga Koch is performing in Brighton this Saturday. She discusses what happens when her father was stopped by the Russian authorities on the border, which turned out to be the most surreal year of her life.

Surfbort @ The Latest Music Bar – Saturday 9th February

Surfbort are a four-piece funk band from Brooklyn, which consists of
David Head, Alex Kilgore, Sean Powell
and is led by Dani Miller. Fresh off a tour with the Black Lips after playing at last years Cochella, this will be their debut in Brighton. With their sound described as ‘guitar-shredding punk music that says no to a digital age full of intolerance’ join them at The Latest Music Bar for a celebration of love and friendship.

El Geebee Tea Queue @ The Brunswick – Sunday 10th February

With Valentines Day approaching, Fourth World Promotions are bringing the love to the Brunswick cellar bar this Sunday. Containing an excellent line up which consists of LGBTQ+ comedy, cabaret, live music and spoken word, this event promises a joyful, inclusive end to your week. Featuring performances from Naz & Ella, Kate Bushfly, Markx, Aiden Bex, Dryadic, and
Honk Improv.
