With the issuing of the summer rainfall warning, which lets be honest is not a surprise in the UK considering the countless other humid rainy day’s we’ve seen so far this summer we can’t really be wearing the summer dresses we’d like to be so heres so alternatives.

Smart
When its warm and rainy but you still need to look smart it can be hard to find something lightweight. Try a pair of black wide leg pants or culottes paired with a classic plain white t-shirt. You can dress this outfit up with some black heels or you can throw on some converse to make the outfit more comfortable to run errands in. Take an umbrella and you’re on your way!

Retro
So you waxed your legs for the summer and now feel like that’s being wasted with all this rain! Try this look to get your legs out but keep warm with an oversized denim jacket. The contrast of the slick leather with the relaxed band tee along with the denim jacket is a perfect casual day time outfit. If you wanted to really get into it the rain will just roll off of the skirt!

Bright
So you may be sad that it’s summer and you still can’t find a way to work bright colours in the rain. How about a pair of mom or boyfriend jeans with that bright off the shoulder top you have or maybe even try some dungarees with a printed top to bring back the brightness to your life even though it is lacking in sunshine.

Monochrome
On those summer nights we reach for a soft white jumper to pull over our clothes that are comforting and light. But what maybe you should throw this on in the day when it is raining. This white jumper with a pair of denim shorts and some wellies is perfect for heavy rainfall. Throw on a raincoat over the top and you’re good to go, we are loving the see through raincoats like this, that are on trend this season and are being seen at so many festivals.

Dresses
Lets not think dress season is completely over, there are an abundance of oversized t-shirt dresses, or jumper dresses which are perfect when the weather isn’t nice and you want something comfy and cosy to put on. Not too flowy but cool enough for you not to sweat in the humidity and gives you enough coverage from the rain.
