Will Young to perform in Brighton this October

Hannah Midgley

Will Young will be visiting Brighton for his October 2019 headline tour, with one date at the Brighton Centre on Wednesday 9th October.

The London-based singer will be promoting his new album, Lexicon, due to be released on the 14th of June. The new album release was announced on the 22nd of March, the same day he revealed the song All the Songs, included in the new record.

The song has been described as an ‘upbeat, piano-led, dancefloor-tilted heartbreak anthem.’ Will Young said of the new album: “I always say that there’s no point in doing it if it’s not joyous. That’s been my motto: do it the way you want to do it.”

This will be the artist’s seventh album, and it is likely to be his last one for a while, as Will Young wants to focus on other projects.

The Brit awards winner is an active and vocal campaigner for the LGBTQ movement and is the co-host and co-creator of the hugely popular podcast Homo Sapiens, alongside Chris Sweeney.

Will Young rose to fame in 2002, and in his career spanning over two decades the singer has achieved four #1 and two #2 albums, two Brit awards and four UK #1 singles.

Tickets go on sale at 9AM on Friday 29 March. There will be a ticket pre-sale on Wednesday 27 March exclusive to people who pre-order the new album. Tickets are priced at £35 and will be available for purchase at the Brighton Centre box office.
