Yellowave have this week announced that they are teaming up with local publisher, Button Books, to create a pop-up book shop next month! This is part of Yellowave’s Children’s Book Week and will be themed around a children’s classic, the Owl & the Pussycat.
Join Button Books in the clubhouse to meet Brighton authors Melanie Arora (A Cat Called Panda), Madeline Rogers (The Sky Guys) and Little Button Diaries (Mini Makers) to hear stories and take part in craft workshops from the Story Carousel. There will also be a Knight/Princess themed photo booth and the opportunity to win and buy some children’s books.
Button Books is part of GMC Publications, a publication company based in Lewes, and boasts an exciting list of ‘design-led children’s books including round-cornered board books, wipe-clean flash cards, hardbacks with poster jackets and picture books with pop-out animals to make.’ Yellowave Sports Venue is the first of its kind in the UK, with staff dedicated to beach volleyball and sand based sports.
The best part about this event? It’s free! The event is for children aged 8 and under and must be accompanied by one adult. To reserve a space you can call Yellowave on 01273 672222.
