Spring is officially here! The trees are in blossom, the daffodils are blooming, the days are getting longer and most importantly the weather is getting warmer. As it is the start of spring, today’s street fashion feature is dedicated to all us currently transitioning our wardrobe from winter wear to warmer wear. Here are a handful of Brightonians showing us how it’s done:Laura is looking fabulous in her monochrome outfit. Laura does not have any style icons and would say that her style is derived from herself. She enjoys shopping on the high street and her favourite shop is Urban Outfitters. Today’s outfit all hails from Primark apart from her boots which are from Urban Outfitters. Laura enjoys wearing ‘flowing’ clothes and owns many kimono type cardigans. However, today Laura has opted for a more cosy and comfortable look as she plans to go for a big lunch with a friend. Yummy!
Zoe is looking fantastic in her double denim outfit.  Zoe gets her fashion inspiration from vintage fashion trends but also from famous online bloggers such as ‘Large Coin’ on Tumblr. Price wise, Zoe likes to shop for bargains and most of her clothes come from charity shops but she also buys branded clothes online from Ebay. Her jeans are American Apparel, her Jacket is Levi, her top is Primark and her shoes are Dr Martens. Zoe is finding the transition of winter to spring quite difficult as she enjoys wearing tights, big scarves and coats but is looking forward to the warmer weather so she can pull out her denim shorts.
Seanie is looking effortlessly cool in his Chesterfield Coat . Seanie likes to travel and says that his style is inspired by life but admits that he is a little bit stuck in the 1980’s. Due to his love for the 1980’s, Seanie tends to shop mainly in charity shops and todays outfit is from a variety of charity shops in Brighton. It’s ok to love the retro look Seanie because the retro look certainly loves you!
Jen is looking bright and colourful as she waits for her bus. Jen has an eclectic fashion taste and enjoys shopping in both vintage and high street shops. Interestingly, she bought her jacket five years ago at a festival and it’s still in a fantastic condition. Jen’s outfit today differs from what she normally wears; today she is wearing a sporty themed outfit in homage to a work rugby game. We hope the game goes well Jen!Sara is rocking a retro look in her figure hugging outfit. Sara’s style is mostly a mixture of vintage throw back clothing and modern retro reproduction brands that flatter her hour glass figure. She cites the 1940’s and 1950’s as her favourite fashion decades and loves shopping at London markets and vintage fairs. In regards to fashion icons, Sara is a big fan of Paloma Faith due to her eclectic style. Her bag and shoes are from Collectif, her cardigan is from Hell Bunny, her cape is from Tara Starlet, her shoes are from H&M and her glasses are from Lipsy.
Frankie loves wearing brightly coloured clothes to reflect her bubbly personality. She gets her fashion inspiration from art but also from the Edwardian era.  Frankie loves shopping in vintage shops and markets; her silk shirt was bought at a carboot sale, her gorgeous scarf was a gift from her mum and her silk velvet dress was from a charity shop in Chichester. Frankie likes wearing silk clothes because of how soft and comfortable they are. She’s loving the warm spring weather as it makes her feel less weighed down and more inclined to skip around!
