On every New Year’s Eve, we promise ourselves a lot. But we don’t keep our promises, at least until spring. The weather’s changing, the sun gives energy, and it’s much easier to find some motivation to clean the house, throw out old clothes and go to the gym. There’s no reason to change our way of life radically to live right. It’s enough to acquire one healthy habit a week, and after 2 months, your life will play with new colors.

Wake up early: Successful people are usually early risers. There is something magical about waking up before dawn. This short period before the rest of the world wakes up is the most important, inspiring, and peaceful part of the day. Those who discovered this habit for themselves say that they started living a full life only after they began to wake up at 5 am every day. Try it, and maybe in a month, you’ll be thinking about the years when the dawn caught you in bed with pity.

Eat at the table, not on the couch: If you normally have dinner at your computer or TV, you probably don’t pay any attention to your diet and gain weight. If you get distracted while eating, you may not notice the physical signals telling that your stomach is already full. Plus, dinner at the table is a valuable opportunity to talk with friends and family that will always improve your mood.

Read books, and don’t watch TV: Sometimes, at the end of a long day, you just want to go home, where Netflix with its meaningless TV shows is already waiting for you. Try to find a good book instead. Even a crossword or magazine is capable of more than your blue screen.

Full and stable meals instead of snacks on the go: We all know that there are three main meals, but many of us skip breakfast, have their first meal during lunch, and have a couple of snacks instead of dinner. This leads to a large number of empty calories and thoughtless consumption of products that are not the most beneficial. If you find that you’re hungry between meals, drink a glass of water or a cup of tea. Otherwise, eat something rich in protein, not carbohydrates.

Call instead of sending messages: Technologies simplify and facilitate communication with people, but at the same time, it becomes more difficult to truly communicate. Live communication was replaced by text messages. Next time when you need to say something to someone, just call. The real conversation still means something.

Bright clothes instead of black ones: Adding color to your wardrobe is an instant way to cheer yourself up. Besides, you’re almost guaranteed to look better, because black color is very depressing when there’s too much of it.

Eat fruits instead of drinking fruit juice: Perhaps you would never have thought that there is a big difference between a glass of orange juice and an orange itself, but it’s so. Fresh fruits are full of vitamins, nutrients, and natural sugar, while fruit juice is filled with “natural sweeteners.” Raw fruits are much more useful.

Work at the table, not under on the bed: If you can work at home, it’s great, but it’s not good if you don’t have a particular place to do your job. It’s better to organize a clear working space to separate professional life from personal.

Eat boiled, not fried eggs: Six grams of protein for less than 100 calories – that’s one boiled chicken egg. But only boiled one! In a fried egg, there is more fat than protein, because of vegetable oil.

Take your time: It’s impossible to enjoy life while being surrounded by constant stress and chaos. You need to find time for yourself. Slow down and listen to your inner voice. Slow down and pay attention to what matters. If you can develop the habit of waking up early, you can devote a couple of hours to your thoughts right after you get up.
