A local resident launched the petition after concerns grew about the unknown impact of 5G technology. The petition demands that the council carries out independent research proving that 5G technology is safe.

The petition now has over 2000 signatures and demands the council “halt the rollout of 5G until it has been proven safe for the environment and the people of Brighton & Hove.”
Those running the petition have called for the help of local residents to rally with them and create a call-to-action. They are asking residents to go to Hove Town Hall from 3PM on Thursday, with banners, placards and T-shirts to campaign with them.
The event description reads:
“This is a massive turning point as a community and how we are going to be living for the rest of our lives. Please do your research NOW before it’s too late. The information is out there. We MUST take action NOW for the future of our children and our environment.”
