New CCTV has been installed on Brighton & Hove seafront as part of a range of measures to improve safety.
Brighton & Hove City Council operates a network of CCTV cameras across the city, including a number of cameras along the seafront.
The monitoring is manged by council staff, with 24/7 access also given to Sussex Police.

The new CCTV benefits from lighting technology, which provides help with searches.
Other, existing cameras, have also now been adjusted to produce a comprehensive picture of the area.
This investment in the local CCTV network is part of wider council and police plans to improve seafront safety.
Councillor Amanda Grimshaw, Cabinet Advisor for Community Safety at Brighton & Hove City Council, said: “It’s important that everyone feels confident and secure when enjoying our seafront at all times of the day.
“The extra CCTV and changes to our other cameras will help us keep a clearer eye on activity so we can understand potential issues early and respond more quickly where needed.
“Greater visibility also acts as a strong deterrent to anti-social behaviour along the seafront.
“This is part of our ongoing work to keep our seafront welcoming and safe for residents and visitors.
