Time for our weekly cartoon! The story on the front page of the newspaper is from a story this week that our basic navigation skills are under threat because of Satellite Navigation, a leading expert has said.
Roger McKinlay is the former president of the Royal Institute of Navigation believes that ‘the world is losing its way due to over-reliance on navigation aids’. He describes navigation as a “use-it-or-lose-it skill…if we do not cherish them, our natural navigation skills will deteriorate as we rely ever more on smart devices”. You know what they say, smart phones, stupid people. The rat’s advice? Well, that’s open to interpretation. Check back next week to see if our protagonist makes it to sunny Brighton!
