Laurie Anderson, Brighton Festival Guest Director and American performance artist who has experimented art at 360 degrees, in roles such as visual artist, composer, poet, photographer, filmmaker, vocalist, and instrumentalist, is hosting two special Brighton Festival events on Tuesday 17th and Wednesday 18th of May.

The first one, called ‘Song Conversation‘, is a collaboration between Laurie Andersen and her fellow musician-composers, pianist Nik Bärtsch and guitarist Eivind Aarset: they will provide guests with a fascinating improvisational exchange of songs and traditions.

The second one will be a world premiere Brighton Festival exclusive performance monologue on the theme of home and place. ‘Slideshow‘ is described by the creator as a ‘a collection of adventure stories about love, cities, diners, Mars, how we see, living by rivers, Dollywood, my home town and many other places along the way’.
