- Tue 6th Feb @ 19:30
- Indie, Pop
- from £7.00
‘Armed with nothing more than a guitar and a drum machine, Colleen Green’s gritty, sweet, irrepressibly fun tunes are at the vanguard of California’s slacker-pop scene. Wearing her punk-rock influences on her sleeve, it’s hard to miss her nods to slacker rock and punk heroes like Descendents and The Ramones. Signed to Seattle’s Sub Pop offshoot Hardly Art (Chastity Belt, Hunx & His Punx), Colleen mines baked bedroom tunes and boy-trouble ruminations to create a delectable mix of stoner pop.’

- Rock, Jazz
- from £18.50
‘Manchester-based leftfield piano trio perform music from their forthcoming Blue Note Records release A Humdrum Star (Feb 9 2018). Their music has been described as acoustic-electronica but they draw equally on rock, jazz and minimalism, game soundtracks and glitchy-electronica to create their unique music. It’s music for the heart, head and feet and saw their album v2.0 (Gondwana records) named a Mercury Prize album of the year 2014 alongside albums from Damon Albarn, Young Fathers and Jungle. In 2015 they signed to Blue Note Records and released the album Man Made Object in 2016. More recently they have been touring their own score to Godfrey Reggio’s cult film Koyaanisqatsi.’

Mint Presents – Grymm + Support (TBA)
- The Hope and Ruin, Brighton
- Thu 8th Feb @ 19:30
- Indie, Rock

‘Grymm – Brighton energetic indie-grunge hybrid with all the catchiness of pop. Synths ring out over fuzzed-up bass, sharp blows of frenzied cymbals and hits of percussion cut deep within the ensuing rage of guitar noise. The band have created a cacophony of sound, yet they still intrinsically maintain a strict grip on melody and vocal hooks.’

‘Releasing music since 2009, the Southampton bred producer Royal-T has deftly become renowned for his trademark blend of garage and grime music. Since breaking through with his 1UP Or Shatap EP he’s explored a wide range of styles and bass heavy approaches across a slew of various EPs, and his eponymous debut album, which was released on Rinse back in 2012.’
