The marathon commenced at 9:45 AM from Preston Park, guiding runners through a scenic 26.2-mile route that showcased some of Brighton’s most iconic landmarks, including the Royal Pavilion, St Peter’s Church, the Madeira Terraces, the Palace Pier, the i360, and Hove Lagoon. Prior to the marathon, the Brighton and Hove 10K race took place at 8:45 AM, featuring over 3,500 participants. Ross Skelton secured the men’s title with a time of 31 minutes and 25 seconds, dedicating his win to his late friend and fellow athlete, Robbie Fitzgibbon, who passed away in October 2024.
In the women’s 10K, Amy Harris claimed victory, finishing in 37 minutes and 35 seconds. Reflecting on her performance and personal journey, Harris shared, “I have had a few years of injuries and recovering from an eating disorder.
