The Seagulls come into the game with just one defeat in their last six league games, a run which included a 4-2 win over this weekend’s opponents at the back end of 2023.

Although Brighton & Hove Albion displayed a prolific scoring performance against Palace and achieved significant scorelines in the FA Cup, they have struggled to find the net in the Premier League in 2024. The team has gone three games without scoring at the start of the year. However, their recent derby victory provided some much-needed goals, and they are hopeful that this trend will continue in London.

Something that may help with this is the potential return of Kaoru Mitoma, who could play a part in the fixture after his native Japan were eliminated from the Asian Cup.

Aside from this, Brighton have no new injury concerns however will remain without Joel Veltmann, Julio Enciso, James Milner and Solly March. COupled with that Simon Adingra is also still away with the Ivory Coast at AFCON.

Since that defeat to Albion a few weeks ago, Tottenham have not lost in the league, and historically have never lost back-to-back games against Brighton.

The hosts last lost at home to Brighton near the end of the 21/22 season, but won this fixture last season 2-1.

They head into Saturday’s game having scored in each of their last 35 Premier League games, a current record in the division, which has been helped by Richarlison’s superb form. The Brazilian has now scored nine in his last eight league games after a rocky start to life at Spurs.

Spurs injury hit squad earlier in the season is now finally coming back together, and they have no fresh absentees after last weekend’s draw at Everton.

Ryan Sessegnon and Manor Solomon remain sidelined, however, Giovani Lo Celso could return from a muscle injury. Former Brighton man Yves Bissouma could feature after Mali were knocked out of AFCON on Saturday. Heung-min Son may also be back in time after his Asian Cup exit.

A win for Brighton could take them up to 6th if other results go their way, while Spurs could climb back into the top four at least until Sunday if they were to come away with three points.

Prediction: You can tell both sides aren’t playing their best football at the moment, and haven’t been that reliable for a clean sheet this season. 2-2.
