If you’re staying in town and wondering how to make the most of the next couple of days, here’s what’s happening across the city.
What’s On: Markets, Music & Pop-Ups
Pavilion Gardens Makers’ Market (12–4pm)
A Brighton staple. Local potters, illustrators, jewellery designers — and the kind of casual acoustic sets that make you want to stay longer than planned. Great for picking up something handmade or grabbing lunch from one of the street-food stalls on the edge of the lawn.
Brighton Beats Seafront DJ Session (Saturday, 6pm–9pm)
A proper community vibe. A rotating line-up of local DJs set up near the West Pier, attracting a mix of regulars and passers-by. Bring a hoodie — it gets breezy once the sun dips.
Cinema Brighton Indie Night (from 8pm)
An intimate evening of shorts by local filmmakers. Atmospheric, low-lit, and ideal if you want something cultural without the formality of the theatre.
Sunday: Slower, Softer, Still Very Brighton
Seafront Yoga + Brunch at the Marina (10am–1pm)
Book in if you can — it sells out quickly. Yoga right beside the water followed by a cosy brunch in the Marina’s cafés.
Vintage Car & Food Truck Pop-Up at Preston Park (1–5pm)
Surprisingly mellow and ideal for families, dog-walkers or anyone wanting a slow afternoon outdoors. Plenty of seating, great people-watching, and some of Brighton’s best street-food vendors.
Rooftop Jazz at the Harbour (from 4pm)
A Sunday highlight for many locals. Soft jazz, cocktails and a warm, golden hour across the Marina skyline — it’s one of the city’s most underrated weekly events.
