After a sell-out season at the Edinburgh Fringe festival star of BBC’s Live At The Apollo and The Mash Report, Geoff Norcott takes to the road with a new stand up show in which he’ll ponder identity politics, tradition, Europe and being a tory in today’s climate.Â
“Well just like dinosaurs I hear men like me are soon to be extinct, I might as well have a laugh about it before the meteor strikes.”
Norcott is a British comedian who has been entertaining audiences since 2001. He claims to be the only outwardly conservative comedian on the circuit – perhaps the Tories just aren’t really up for a laugh. As a conservative and a leave-voter this is a rare breed to brave Brighton stages, you have to admire his courage. His material is refreshingly honest without being brutal, and his ability to laugh at himself keeps the audience on his side.
Other upcoming dates this spring will see Geoff perform in Nottingham, London, Leeds, Manchester and Birmingham.
He has stated of Brighton: “I’ve gigged in Brighton for years. People always say “You? In Brighton? Who’s gonna come?”
“They seem to think every single person there is some lentil munching social justice warrior, but I’m pretty sure I’ve seen at least four people there actually eating meat.”
This event will take place at Komedia, Brighton
