As always, the team at Brighton Journal have curated a list of the must-see acts this week! We can assure you that Brighton’s fantastic music scene has yet again delivered!
Monday 25th June: The week starts strongly with the music of Miles Kane. The popular former The Last Shadow Puppets frontman brings his unique form of indie rock to Concorde 2. Joining Kane are The Mysterines, a teen band making a name for themselves with their unrelenting, hard-hitting sound.
Tuesday 26th June: Try something a little different on Tuesday, and get down to The West Hill Tavern! The beautiful pub will be hosting a brilliant open mic night, and sell 2 pizzas for £12! What’s not to love?
Wednesday 27th June: Launch back into the gigs at The Hope and Ruin. Go and see UK Pop-punk band Fresh, who have been compared to the popular Modern Baseball. Alongside them are indie rockers Great Wight, Leatherhead and Sven, making this an intense, packed night.
Thursday 28th June: Up-and-coming indie folk musician Jordaan Mason plays The Pipeline. His eclectic, varied sound is always entertaining. The indie pop musician Perkie, and indie 6-piece itoldyouiwouldeatyou join Mason.

Friday 29th June: The legendary techno duo Orbital play The Racecourse. The highly critically and commercially successful act have headlined Glastonbury, and are known for their impressive musical improvisation. They have been active since the late 80s, racking up a series of acclaimed, chart-topping, albums and singles. This is a must-see. Another iconic act, Faithless, will play a DJ set before the main act.
Saturday 30th June: Alt-rocker Kristin Hersh will play the Duke of York’s Picturehouse. Hersh, active since 1981, is a prolific musician highly regarded for her brilliant live performances.
Sunday 1st July: Colour Me Wednesday round off the week at The Green Door Store. The London band are noted for their DIY ethos, producing their indie punk records. Active for 11 years, they have always been a guaranteed blast.
