This week, The Brighton Journal got speaking to 24-year-old Keir, who had just finished the Brighton Marathon – in three hours and forty minutes – and was celebrating with a pint.
“Running the marathon was a spur of the moment choice whilst I was traveling”
“But being away made the training fun. To train, I was chasing after my friend whilst he was blasting music from his moped across the streets of Thailand.”
“I’m so glad that I went for it and that I could support Mind, the mental health charity. I managed to raise £600, so a massive thanks to all the friends and family that supported the cause!”
‘By raising money for Mind, more people with mental health problems get the support they need and the respect they deserve – and that’s a very big deal. So thank you.’
