This week, for our Humans of Brighton feature, I headed out to North Laine and spotted Persia sitting outside having a coffee. She looked very cool with her pink hair and was enjoying some long-awaited autumn sunshine.
I asked her the question: “What did you want to be when you were younger?”
I wanted to be a snake wrangler and crocodile hunter after my great hero Steve Irwin, but when he died I gave that dream up.
“So you decided in the end that it would be too dangerous?”
No! I was just too sad! I just thought it would be too sad to do it without him, because I was always sure that me and him were gonna be a team and that we’d have a show together.
“So with that dream out the window…”
Then I thought law immediately after that. I was going to be a lawyer.
Just a slight a change of direction then. Thanks for talking to us Persia! Join us again for next week’s edition of Humans of Brighton.
