Can’t wait for the summer to get into the festival spirit? Then wait no longer as the first festival of the season is here this weekend! Little Way Festival is taking place this Saturday here in Brighton. Described as a ‘willingly simple music festival’, Little Way will feature a host of performances alongside visual artwork, food, drink and conversation.
Created by two friends, Little Way was formed by collaborating with local musicians, artists and producers. Inspired by Saint Therese of Lisieux, Little Way festival ‘looks to be a time of new introductions and a beckoning of Spring’. Held at One Church, enjoy Mexican street food from Real Junk Food, in which all meals are made from salvaged foods. The Old Tree Brewery will be offering up their drinks, of which will operate inside zero-waste restaurant Silo. The drink line-up is almost as impressive as the actual line-up. Drink quality ales, botanical cordials and soft drinks, including sea-buckthorn champagne, spiced plum cordial and nettle beer served on bars made from old church pews.
Festival producers Philippe Nash and Harvey Herman told welovebrighton “the basis of Little Way is to develop a music festival that is intentionally simple in form, and has the fostering of new connections and interactions as its focus. Held at the tail end of winter, and entirely under one roof, the day is really an opportunity to gather together and deliver something of a shared home to everyone involved, rather than a ‘big name’ spectacle. We want to encourage a sense of a family which can grow and take new forms in the future’.
