This Christmas, Brighton’s loneliness charity, Together Co, is asking the Brighton & Hove community to bid on fantastic prizes in their charity auction, Brighton’s Bid to End Loneliness. https://www.32auctions.com/bidtoendloneliness
The online auction offers plenty of wonderful gift ideas, such as meals out in Brighton’s best loved restaurants, massages and a delicious afternoon tea at The Grand. All proceeds go to Together Co to help end loneliness in Brighton & Hove.
There’s plently on offer for all budgets, including the chance to buy a £5 donation that could pay for a volunteers travel to visit someone in the city who is extremely isolated.
The auction launches on Monday 6th December and last bids are at 7pm on Thursday 16th December.
Together Co Befriending member Ted says “I look forward to [my befriending volunteer] ringing me. Her call takes the stress out of the day. We talk about everything; how my life is in general and what my health is like. She helps me out with my shopping. She’s a lovely person. Having the befriending service there is really good as it helps someone like me.”
