Brighton’s live music calendar is set for another energetic night this autumn as rising London art-punk band Man/Woman/Chainsaw bring their headline UK tour to Concorde 2 on 30 September 2026.

The six-piece group, widely tipped as one of the most exciting emerging bands on the British alternative scene, will play the Brighton venue as part of a 15-date tour across the UK and Ireland, running from mid-September through early October.

Described by The Guardian as “a young British art-punk five-piece that revels in taut chaos and wry lyrics,” the band has rapidly built a reputation for explosive live performances and sharp songwriting.

A breakout moment for one of the UK’s most talked-about new bands

The tour follows a career-defining year in 2025, during which the band signed to Fiction Records, the influential label home to artists including The Cure, St. Vincent, The Horrors and Billie Marten.

Formed by childhood friends Billy Ward and Vera Leppänen when they were just 16, the London-based band has quickly captured the attention of the UK’s music press and tastemakers. Publications including NME, The Quietus, DIY, The Line of Best Fit, So Young and Stereogum have all championed the band’s unique sound.

At SXSW, Rolling Stone described them as “a young band in the process of inventing something ecstatically new.”

Meanwhile, The Line of Best Fit went even further, calling them “the most exciting live band in London right now.”

Brighton date expected to draw strong demand

Brighton’s Concorde 2, one of the city’s best-known independent venues, has long been a launchpad for rising alternative artists. With the band’s growing reputation for chaotic, high-energy live sets, the Brighton show is expected to attract fans from across Sussex and the south coast.

Tickets for the show are already on sale, with the band’s tour expected to sell quickly following strong festival appearances and growing radio support, including airplay on BBC 6 Music.
