Sussex Police are today appealing for witnesses following a collision between a scooter and a 90-year-old man, that occurred in Brighton on Thursday morning (23rd August).
Police are particularly interested in speaking to the driver of a blue Ford Kuga car, known to have been nearby when the scooter and pedestrian collided, and may be a key witness to the incident.
The collision occurred on Roedean Road near the roundabout junction with Whitehawk Road, and resulted in the pedestrian, a 90-year-old local man, sustaining a broken leg. Subsequently the man had to receive treatment at the Royal Sussex County Hospital, Brighton.
The rider of the Yamaha scooter, a 23-year-old man from Newhaven, was unhurt and had been travelling east on the B2118 Roedean Road when the collision happened.
Investigators would like to hear from anyone who saw what happened, but particularly the Kuga driver or any passengers, and ask that you, “contact Sussex Police online or call 101, quoting serial 412 of 23/08.”
