If you’re looking for something a bit different for a date night, Globalls at Brighton Marina is a great option. With UV mini-golf, carnival-style games and glowing cocktails, it’s a brilliant way to break away from the usual dinner and drinks routine.

We went for the date night package which included a game of crazy golf, carnival games, a slushtail and glow glasses.

Globalls’ friendly staff gave us a warm welcome, got us signed in and gave us a scoresheet and clipboard.

We chose to do Zootopia, their newest course, which is packed with neon-coloured animal sculptures under UV lights. Huge giraffes, bright flamingos and glowing jungle scenery make it one of the most visually interesting mini-golf courses we have been to.

This is a challenging course but the holes themselves vary in difficulty, building up to the hardest holes which require a very precise aim.

Mounds, twists and tricky angles kept us on our toes. The course took us about 45 minutes, but the time can vary depending on skill level and how busy it is.

After mini golf, we headed over to the carnival games which turned out to be just as entertaining. With games like hook-a-duck, limbo and ring toss, it felt like an old-school fairground but with everything glowing.

Some games were surprisingly hard, which made winning even more satisfying, and the competition between us made it even better.

One of the best things about the evening was how laid-back and fun the whole experience was. The venue has a great atmosphere with neon lights everywhere and music playing in the background.

The slushtails were a nice extra, available as cocktails or mocktails and perfect for sipping between rounds of games.

Whether you’re looking for a date night in Brighton with a difference or just a fun day out with friends or family, Globalls was a brilliant place for a fun, interactive experience.
