Another week another weird beauty trend. This week there’s a brand new beauty technique that seems to have taken the world by storm, and it started with the Kardashian’s because who else? However, this beauty technique is surprisingly very good, and there’s no doubt we’ll be trying this in the future.

Though its name, ‘sandbagging’ doesn’t sound particularly great, it’s actually a really great way to make sure your make-up stays on. There is nothing worse than perfecting your make-up only for it to smudge. Like actual sandbags, ‘sandbagging’ creates a barrier around your liquid products (eyeliner, concealer etc) and stops them from smudging or running. It has been developed by Kim Kardashian’s make-up artist Mario Dedivanovic and involves applying a lot of loose powder right up to your waterline and around your mouth, leaving it there while you finish your make-up. It’s basically taking the baking technique one step further. You then brush the excess powder away and you’re sorted. How has nobody thought of this sooner?! There’s even a handy video below to show you exactly how to do it.
