Sussex has so much to see, from amazing national parks, quaint towns and gorgeous seaside locations, frequented by many eccentric individuals. Anyone who has explored this diverse, beautiful county, will have at some time taken some snaps of their marvellous surroundings.

Well, now is the time to show off the best pictures you’ve captured in Sussex. BBC Sussex has announced their Summer photo competition, showcasing the best photography in the county.

The theme is “What Sussex Means to Me”, with no strict criteria on what kind of image one should send. So, get creative and inspired!

Those looking to participate should send just one photo per household to or message via their Facebook page. You need to send your images by midnight on July 31st.

As well as the joy of receiving praise for your aesthetic vision, there are tangible prizes to be won. The Gold winner will be the recipient of a stay for two at The Grand Hotel in Brighton for one night, as well as receiving a trophy to commemorate their success. The Silver and Bronze winners will be given a digital radio and trophy.

Be sure to get out and take some wonderful images of the county you know and love so well!
