It was another beautiful day in Brighton, so of course there were some beautiful outfits being worn around town. This week yellow (and the odd bit of orange) seemed to be the theme – yellow bags, yellow coats, yellow t shirts!

This is Saskia, whose trousers and jacket are both from Zara, which is her favourite place to shop. We asked her what her all time favourite item to wear is – “I like a good trainer!”

Next up we met Ripley and her cute yellow tote bag, who told us that she loved buying second hand and vintage clothes – Depop and eBay are her faves, as well as Brighton’s local vintage shops. We asked her what her favourite outfit she’s ever worn was – “I’ll show you a photo! It’s a Burberry skirt, white, pink and yellow colourway, and I wore it with a yellow high neck crop top. My nan gave me the skirt.”

We also met Kylie who had an amazing 70’s vibe. She works at Beyond Retro and said it’s her favourite place to shop, but also likes Snoopers Paradise and charity shops. And her favourite outfit? Her wedding dress of course! “It wasn’t vintage but it looked it – it was old Hollywood style, strapless, fishtail and I wore a cape.” She said her favourite individual item was the gorgeous fringed jacket she had on, which she picked up from Wolf and Gypsy.

We also promised that in exchange for Kylie’s time we’d mention that she’s part of the Fringe – her comedy show is called Bosh & Babbs and is on from 31st May at Beyond Retro!

Next is Artoris, in his amazing chef trousers (which he admitted actually belonged to his friend Jack who he was with!) Jack told us that most of his t-shirts come from his brother who is an illustrator – “he’s got weird illustrator friends in Bristol too who send me tshirts.” Both Jack and Artoris agreed that the shared chef trousers were their favourite item to wear.

And finally we met Tianne found who was down from South London for the day with her friends. Her favourite place to shop is thift stores, but also loves making her on clothes – “I created this top!” She described her own style as always being inspired by 90’s 2Pac.
