Otherplace production company who own much-loved ‘The Warren’ have announced their relocation to another space in central Brighton. Home to many performances at Brighton Fringe, The Warren forms a pivotal cultural venue in the heart of the city.
The festival complex will move from its spot by St Peter’s Church where it had been for several years to Victoria Gardens for 2019. The pop-up festival space will be marking its eighth year at Brighton Fringe in 2019,
Nicola Haydn, Artistic Director of the production company, Otherplace, said: “We’re really pleased to have inched closer to the heart of the city. Victoria Gardens offers more space for us to play with and we have some exciting plans in the pipeline that will make The Warren 2019 even bigger, better and more exciting for our audiences.”
Otherplace has been working for 13 years in Brighton and Hove and has helped to stage over 700 performances across four different venues for Brighton Fringe this year. The Warren itself offers two entertainment venues on site, with bars, food stalls, outdoor and indoor seating.
Brighton Fringe are hosting a competition for children across Brighton and Hove to design the cover of the festival’s Family Guide for next year. The closing date is 19th December and the winner will see their design on the cover of the Fringe guides and receive a gift voucher of £200 to spend on tickets for Brighton Fringe.
Brighton Fringe will take place for a month from 2nd May until 2nd June 2019. Tickets for select events at Brighton Fringe will go on sale from 14th December 2018
