With the roadmap in place and a solution in sight to at least provide some sense of normalcy to come back into our lives, the world will still have changed in many ways.
While people will go back to work and interacting with others, many different methods of activity that have been pioneered in lockdown have actually inspired not only our survival in the pandemic but also given us advancements which will shape our future
Work From Home
Likely the most obvious, working from home has been the main method for many over the lockdown period.
Working from home has proven to be so popular and efficient due to its increase in employee mood and productivity whilst also lowering the business overheads that plague their yearly budgets.
Travel costs, ongoing covid concern and family time increases are all key reasons behind such pushes into a new way of work with statistics showing 20-30% of work could be completed from home at least partially during the average week.
Major Cities Will Decrease In Population
Before Covid hit the world, our lifestyles were built upon the ease of accessing work and services with a need for a bed and a social/family life coming after that.
With the outbreak, everyone’s ideals got completely changed and now we exist in a society which values home working, local shopping and outdoor space that allows us to escape the inside.
Places such as Brighton have seen a large upswing in the need and motivation to move somewhere peaceful with London access without any longer needing to suffer in cramped spaces for overpriced rent.
This will continue as people seek to continue to enjoy a balanced and more relaxed life without the pressures and sacrifices expected previously.
Experiences Will Boom
With no escape and no possibility for enjoying the exciting side of life, this will become so much more important when people are able to do things again.
Holidays, group activities, bucket lists and more will all become so much more vital with money saved in the pandemic and greater shares of money being spent on living now everyone has been unable to.
This will provide a lot more relaxed and self-fulfilling lifestyles and could trickle further into providing the work-life balance with much more life, which has been a big discovery by many as they will have reconnected with things and family members they missed.
