‘BED’….we spend a third of our lives in it…..and much of the rest of our lives on it, around it, making it and thinking about what we can get up to when we are in it.  This incredible new musical theatre production ‘Bed’, written by Tim Anfilogoff and Alan Whittaker, will be previewed at this year’s Brighton Fringe ahead of its worldwide premiere at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival’s Gilded Balloon for the month of August.Instead of a honeymoon newlyweds Alice and Ben buy a luxury divan. Is Alice ready to settle down and is Ben’s romantic idealisation of Alice rooted in reality?

‘Bed’ takes us on a journey through over 20 years of married life and all that entails. Joy, anguish, childbirth, housework and the inevitable dirty linen.

BED is writers Anfilogoff and Whittaker’s first sung through musical, having collaborated on several other shows, most recently ‘San Domino’ ‘…poignant story and beautiful, haunting songs’ – What’s On Stage.

The production sees the return of the writers collaboration once more with Director Matthew Gould and Musical Director James Cleeve whom they worked with on their last critically acclaimed production ‘San Domino’ at London’s Arcola Theatre and Tristan Bates Theatre.
