Is it half-term already? It seems like only yesterday everyone was back to school after Christmas break! February is always a difficult half term, the weather is temperamental and it still gets dark pretty early, but there are so many things on this week in and around Brighton to keep your little ones entertained.

February Half Term Holiday Club: Brunswick Infant School are back with their Class Of Their Own holiday club this half term, with so many different fun activities for your kids to take part in. Their theme for this holiday club is ‘Back to Nature’ and children can look forward to different daily activities such as making their own octopus tentacles and playing DIY Angry Brids. They will also be visited by the Jaws ‘n’ Claws workshop, where Phil will be introducing the children to a range of exotic animals. To find out more about the Holiday Club, click here.

Three Excellent Little Pigs: The Three Excellent Little Pigs are coming to Lewes this half term! From the people that brought you A Pirate Adventure and Gorrid the Horrid, Three Excellent Little Pigs is a great show with excellent songs, laughs and fun storytelling! Meet the dancing glow-in-the-dark Mr. Wolfalicious and help the explorers on their adventure by dressing as your favourite animal. There will also be treats supplied by Kasey’s Kupcase Café! There are three performances throughout the day and are forty-five minutes each. You can book tickets here.

Dr Marty Johnson will be at the Brighton Science Festival this week

Zap Crackle Pop with Dr Marty Johnson: The One Show’s resident scientist has been confirmed for Brighton Science Festival and he’s here this half term! The best-selling author of “The Science of Everyday Life” will be performing two one-hour family shows on Friday. Audiences will be taken on a journey through the story of how we tamed electricity. From the Ancient Greeks, through Faraday’s genius, to the craziest of the mad scientists, Nikola Tesla, the show will be incredible fun. Full of demonstrations, explosions, citrus fruit and a plucked chicken, it’s sure to be a hit with both children and adults alike. You can book tickets here.

The Booth Museum has plenty of drop-in sessions this week

Sharks, Shells and Seashore Discovery Day: Head to the Booth Museum for a drop-in discovery day and look at the life in our seas. Learn about sea life today, fossil sea creatures from the ancient past and the dangers that are facing our seas today. The discovery day is free and the perfect way to end the week!
