With the weekend having come to a close, we’re still thinking about this weekend’s Wild Life festival, held at Brighton City Airport. So with that, we’re here to give you the rundown on the best of the weekend’s techno (and boy, was there a lot of it)…
Friday At Wild Life
Fatima Yamaha @ Koppaberg Urban Forest
Taking over the Koppaberg Urban Forest stage from 7pm-8pm on the Friday night, Fatima Yamaha provided ambient tunes and positive vibes to go with them.
Jackmaster & The Martinez Brothers @ Elrow
Taking over the incredible Elrow stage was Brighton favourite, Jackmaster, with an hour and a half set, followed by The Martinez Brothers. Packed out to the brim, the crowd was getting wild in theme with the stage’s Brazilian decorations. Never failing to deliver, Jackmaster played banger after banger. When it was time for The Martinez Brothers to take the stage, Elrow amped it up once more with confetti canons, daring dancers and big bouncy balls for the crowd.
The Black Madonna & Heidi @ Koppaberg Urban Forest
Welcoming yet more iconic DJs, the Koppaberg Urban Forest stage played host to The Black Madonna, followed by Heidi. The two women offered incredible music, superb mixing and great performances respectively. So if you didn’t spend your Friday evening here, where were you?
Fatboy Slim @ WHP Presents
Friday night’s headliner, Fatboy Slim blew the crowd away with classic after classic, paired with incredible visuals on the big screens. Plus the superstar DJ included footage of Shoreham-By-Sea (where Wild Life takes place) as well as promotional pictures of Brighton & Hove Albion, as Slim is a Brighton fan himself.
Saturday at Wild Life
Gerd Janson @ Koppaberg Urban Forest
The great Gerd Janson took over the Koppaberg stage on Saturday evening, providing Summery tunes that the crowd was loving.
Denis Sulta b2b Artwork @ Koppaberg Urban Forest
Denis Sulta and Artwork (who’s hiding behind a speaker in the above image) played an unforgettable two hour back to back set at the Koppaberg Urban Forest stage, providing funky house tech for the masses.
Low Steppa @ Koppaberg Urban Forest
After dark Low Steppa amped up the Koppaberg stage with some deep tech house. His entourage focused on getting the crowd hyped up and people were loving it.
Armand Van Helden b2b Disclosure @ WHP Presents
As the last act of the weekend tech house legends, Armand Van Helden and Disclosure whipped up a storm, along with a huge crowd on Saturday night. With superb mixing and an exciting dynamic, the famous DJs played a set to remember and truly ended the weekend in style.
