It’s Monday and that means we’re back, offering you the best of the music scene in Brighton this week!

Monday – Tove Lo @ Concorde 2
Internationally loved Swedish singer-songwriter, Tove Lo will be taking over Concorde 2 this Monday. The young Swedish star has had hits such as Habits (Stay High) as well as co-writing a number of smash songs: Ellie Goulding’s Love Me Like You Do garnered her her first grammy nomination. She has also collaborated with music icons Coldplay, Flume, Years & Years and Wiz Khalifa. If you go to see her tonight expect an electropop take on raw, grunge influenced music.

Tuesday – The Flaming Lips @ Brighton Dome
American rock band, The Flaming Lips, will be headlining the Brighton Dome this Tuesday. Showcasing their classic alt-rock sound, this’ll be one gig not to miss. In 2002 Q Magazine named them one of the top 50 bands you ought to see before you die, so if you know what’s good for you, you’ll be there.

Wednesday – The Murderburgers @ Sticky Mike’s
Up and coming punk band, The Murderburgers will be causing a ruckus at Sticky Mike’s Frog Bar this Wednesday. Hailing from Scotland, the three piece describe themselves as a high-energy melodic rock’n’roll band.

Thursday – The London African Gospel Choir @ Concorde 2
Keeping it upbeat at Concorde 2 is The London African Gospel Choir. The group aim to unite all denominations and nations and hope to deliver a repertoire reflecting African and Caribbean diversity.

Friday – Sham 69 @ Concorde 2
Another band hitting up Concorde 2 this week is English punk rock band, Sham 69. The band was one of the most successful in the UK during its peak, with 5 top 20 singles however they eventually dissolved. Since reforming they’ve continued to tour the UK and impress with live shows. Expect old classics and excitement.
