In the last couple of years, Brighton & Hove Albion have developed into one of the finest teams in the Premier League. Firstly under Graham Potter and now under Roberto De Zerbi, the Seagulls have gone from fighting against relegation to playing in Europe, as demonstrated this term by their trip to the last 16 of the UEFA Europa League. And while that particular trip ended in defeat, there is still plenty of action to get excited about both in football and in other sports in the coming months.

In April, Corach Rambler and Derek Fox will look to go back-to-back in the Grand National,. Then, Tyson Fury and Oleksandr Usyk will battle it out to become boxing’s first undisputed world heavyweight champion of the last two decades. But one set of fans that won’t be too excited about the next few months are those of the aforementioned Seagulls. Brighton have a horrifying run in throughout the last few weeks of their Premier League campaign, facing all three title contenders in quick succession.

A Part To Play in the Title Race?

Over the next month, De Zerbi’s men face off against two-thirds of the title race’s three protagonists. They first head to Anfield on March 31st and look to put a dagger through the heart of Klopp’s dream of leaving Anfield with his second English top-flight crown. A fortnight later they welcome Mikel Arteta’s young Gunners to the AmEx, a stadium which hasn’t been the happiest of hunting grounds for the North London club in recent campaigns. Finally, there is the small matter of the visit of reigning champions and title favourites Manchester City, a contest that was scheduled to take place on March 17th but had to be rescheduled to a date currently unknown due to the Blues’ FA Cup aspirations.

But that isn’t all, there are plenty more daunting fixtures on the horizon. The Seagulls are also set to welcome struggling Chelsea to the South Coast however, that fixture also doesn’t currently have a date with the Stamford Bridge outfit set to contest their FA Cup semifinal against Pep Guardiola’s men at Wembley. As well as that, Brghton have to make the 700-mile, 12-hour round trip to face Newcastle United at St. James’ Park on the penultimate weekend of the campaign in a clash that could be crucial in the race for Europe. And if that wasn’t enough, the Seagulls will finish their season with the hosting of Manchester United, the team they thumped 4-0 around the same time last year as well as beat on the opening day of the current campaign.
