Burgess Hill Bonfire Society is made up of people of all ages and background who all work together to help put on this amazing night for the local community, but for them it’s not just one night a year. Work on the event goes on all year round, with bonfire society members making touches, fire banners and doing the all-important fundraising to raise the money to able to put the event on.

But the bonfire night isn’t all just about the fireworks and sequins, the Burgess Hill Bonfire Society also raise vital funds on the night for local charities that do great work within the local community.

Burgess Hill Town Council do give as much help as possible which is gratefully received, but they can only give so much. Local residents will have all seen members of the bonfire society out in their costumes running stalls in town and at local events trying to entice people in with raffles, tombola’s and sponsor a torch.

Be sure to head down to what promises to be a night packed full of free entertainment for the whole family and show your support for the endeavours of local communities who do all they can to make the places in which they live as wonderful, exciting, and engaging as they deserve to be!

The firework display and bonfire will begin at 9.45pm. Programmes for the event are on sale at the Martlets shopping centre.
