This Spring Roald Dahl’s George’s Marvellous Medicine will arrive at Brighton’s Theatre Royal. It will play from February 27th – March 2nd. Leicester’s Curve theatre have already successfully adapted various Roald Dahl novels, including The Twits, Fantastic Mr. Fox and The Witches. The new show will also tour in Southampton, Leeds and Torquay after its stint in Brighton.

As in many of Dahl’s works, this quirky children’s novel pits children against grown-ups as George, the young hero, attempts to put a stop to his grizzly grandmother’s cruelty. One day, when his parents have left him alone with her, he concocts a marvellous new medicine to fix her. Things don’t go quite as planned however, and strange and marvellous things begin to happen…
