Martlets, the local hospice charity, has created two new job opportunities for young people in Brighton and Hove and the surrounding areas to help them gain skills needed for permanent employment.  The charity has roles available for online sales assistants and a digital marketing apprentice.

The online sales assistant role is part of the Government’s Kickstart placement scheme, giving a young person on universal credit a short placement with a local employer.  Martlets has four vacancies for this role and anyone wishing to apply will need to speak to their workplace coaches at the Job Centre.  For more information visit Online Sales Assistant | The Martlets Hospice Limited iRecruit Careers Portal (  The closing date for application is on 18 April 2021.

The Apprenticeship in Digital Marketing (Level 3) is a great opportunity for someone with digital skills to develop while working as a key part of Martlets experienced marketing team.  Please see Apprenticeship in Digital Marketing (Level 3) – Find an apprenticeship ( for more information.  The closing date for applications is 14 April 2021.

Sharon Howes, Director of People Services at Martlets said:

“We are delighted to be able to offer these new opportunities in our city. We are particularly aware that youth employment has been adversely affected by COVID-19 and we hope that we attract some young talent to work with us in our e-commerce sales team. Our marketing apprenticeship role will be supported by a fantastic team, giving amazing exposure to all areas of our charity work. We continue to help people with terminal illness in the heart of our community. It is wonderful to connect with and support people in our area and that includes providing fulfilling employment opportunities.

We are really looking forward to supporting these roles and in doing so helping develop vital skills and experience and a step up on the career ladder.”
