Boxing Day is another day in our festive season to come together with loved ones and share and receive presents. In Brighton and Hove there’s plenty to do to beat the Christmas blues, including a fun run, jazz and lunch, and bottomless brunch!

Boxing Day sales

For many retailers, sales have already begun, but shops traditionally heavily discount on 26th December to attract people with dramatic price reductions. To find out more on which retailers have the biggest reductions, visit the Churchill Square website.

Jazz Brunch, West Beach Bar & Kitchen

Enjoy a delicious meal while you listen to the soothing soulful jazz of Alison David. After your flight on the i360, you are invited to a Brunch Buffet and a dish from the West Beach and Bar Kitchen. A glass of buck’s fizz will be available on arrival with unlimited teas and coffees.

Boxing Day Football

Brighton and Hove Albion will be up against Arsenal this Boxing Day at home at the Amex Stadium. Kick off is at 5.15pm, and Albion are looking to double their victory after winning 2-1 at home against Arsenal in March. Although tickets to Boxing Day matches can be difficult to come by, certain pubs around the city will be screening the match, including The Park View, The Garden Bar, and the King and Queen.

Brighton’s Classic Car Meet, Madeira Drive

Vintage cars will be congregating for their annual meet up on Madeira Drive on Boxing Day morning. Classic car owners are invited to meet The Junkyard Motor Club at Boship Service Station in Hailsham to cruise along the coastline towards Brighton. The meet up is open to all classic car and hot rod owners to take part in the drive.

Brighton & Hove AC Boxing Day Run, Preston Park

The Boxing Run in association with The Jog Shop is a fun run to work off that Christmas dinner! Open to runners of all ability, and walkers are also welcomed to do at least four laps of Preston Park. Fancy dress is strongly encouraged and there will be a prize for the best effort. Entry is £5 on the day and all proceeds will go to charity.

Bottomless Brunch, Hilton Metropole
