Friday 25th October
Free Brighton Walking Tour
Free Brighton walking tours will be taking place across the weekend, starting from 11AM on Friday morning. Find out why Brighton’s palace is built like an Indian mosque? How did two women marry in 1923? Why did tourists drink sea water and mix it with milk? Wives for sale, a railway in the sea, a useless king and a war hospital with chandeliers, the free Brighton Walking Tour has it all.
For event details and to secure your place on the walk, please see the Facebook event page.

Oska Bright Film Festival @ The Old Market
Always surprising, totally inclusive, the Oska Bright Film Festival is the world’s biggest learning disability film festival. With four days of screenings, talks, installations and awards, it brings fresh international talent to the big screen. Comedian, writer and actor Rosie Jones will open this year’s Oska Bright Film Festival Awards Night on Friday evening with a stand-up set. Following Rosie’s set, the winners of the nine awards will be announced, which you can read more about here.

Just because it’s Halloween weekend, it doesn’t mean you have to spend a fortune on tickets and costumes. Brighton has a wealth of free Halloween activities going on, just like this free Halloween party at The Tempest. As the event description suggests: “Recession and the anxiety of Brexit makes it a perfect excuse!” If you’re stuck for an outfit, make sure you check out our last minute DIY costume ideas!
